We are located in the middle of the Naturpark Eisenwurzen and in the neighbourhood of the Nationalpark Gesäuse.
There is a most beautiful mountain landscape waiting for you - with many possiblities for outdoor and adventure sports (please refer to linkpage). The rivers Enns and Salza are well known - people from all over the world love to come and enjoy outdoor sports like rafting, kayaking and canyoning. If you want to enjoy the "riverside" you can also book a quite ride on a float made of wood.
Our mountains offer many possibilities for hiking, ski touring and climbing. There are many comfortable mountain guesthouses for a refreshing rest. We are also the perfect stay for moutainbikers: The Alpentour leads through our village as well as the Enns "bikeway". So take your bike with you! There is the possiblity to play tennis in Großreifling. We also offer funny tobbogan rides and long distance running tracks. For beginners there are ski slopes in St. Gallen and in Großreifling.
You should also visit our wonderful bathing lake in Mooslandl, the Wasserspielpark in St. Gallen (play with water - it's pure fun) and the Palfauer Wasserlochklamm (a very interesting footpath with waterfalls and more). We also offer a little playground for our younger guests (with a rivulet!) and table tennis for the older ones. Even if the weather is not that fine, there are many things to see and to enjoy.
The topic of the Nationalpark Gesäuse is "Nature and Culture", because of the famous Abby Admont, the Geological Center in Gams bei Hieflau, the ruin of Castle Gallenstein, the Austrian Wood Museum Silvanum in Großreifling, the Water Museum in Wildalpen, theCarcoal Burner Museum in Hieflau and other very interesting sight seeing points.
